Silent Tears spread its message to attorneys general from across the country in June 2014.
The Silent Tears team traveled to Mackinac Island, Mich., for the National Association of Attorneys General summer meeting, where it unveiled a report entitled, “The View from the Trenches: Recommendations for Improving South Carolina’s Response to Child Sexual Abuse Based on Insights from Frontline Child Protection Professionals.”
The report – the result of a year of research conducted by Victor Vieth of the National Child Protection Training Center – identified training and coordination as being key to combating child sexual abuse.
