Foothills Alliance is a nonprofit agency that encompasses three programs: a sexual trauma center, a child advocacy center and to prevent child abuse.
Foothills Alliance was formed when three agencies were merged in July 2001. The mission statement of Foothills Alliance states: Working in collaboration with community partners, the mission of Foothills Alliance is to prevent sexual assault trauma and child abuse and neglect by providing education, advocacy, and treatment services in Anderson and Oconee counties.
Silent Tears gave Foothills Alliance $20,000 to help with an emergency need to repair damage from a drain pipe that burst in its main building.
On June 26, 2019, Silent Tears awarded an additional $30,000 for the organization’s needs during a second round of grants.
