The Metropolitan Children’s Advocacy Center supports the small voices of suspected child abuse victims with comprehensive evaluations by a highly trained team of medical and mental health professionals in Richland County.
Silent Tears gave the organization $12,000 for new furniture for interview rooms, a hallway and a training room.
Additionally, $2,000 grant will fund the purchase of backpacks, clothing and toiletries to provide to children who need them. Another $1,500 to $2,500 will fund a second exam room table, allowing the organization to use both medical exam rooms simultaneously.
