STSM advocates for and supports survivors of sexual assault and abuse and educates the community to identify and prevent sexual violence, serving Clarendon, Lexington, Newberry, Richland and Sumter counties.
Silent Tears gave the organization $10,000 to upfit and move to an office in Sumter County that is accessible by public transportation and can appropriately accommodate the growing staff.
On October 30, 2019, Silent Tears awarded an additional $30,000 for the organization’s needs during a third round of grants.
